Quarantine treatment against fruit flies in Brazil
Studies were carried out in Brazil to investigate if the hot-water immersion treatment is suited as a quarantine treatment for Brazilian mangoes infested with Anastrepha fraterculus, A. obliqua (EPPO Al organisms) and Ceratitis capitata (EPPO A2 organism).
Statistical estimations of the time needed to achieve probit 9 (99,9968% mortality) for eggs and larvae were:
Anastrepha fraterculus
A. obliqua
Ceratitis capitata
