Vectors of Ceratocystis fagacearum in Texas
Recent destructive outbreaks of oak wilt (Ceratocystis fagacearum; EPPO A1 list) in Texas (US) have led to investigations concerning the vectors of this disease.
It was observed that the Nitidulid species Colopterus maculatus, Cryptarcha concinna and Lobiopa undulata not only carried C. fagacearum inoculum but also were vectors of C. piceae and C. pluriannulata.
