Potato cyst nematodes in the Canary Islands (ES)
The potato cyst nematodes Globodera pallida and G. rostochiensis (EPPO A2 organisms) were present in 92.5% of soil samples collected from potato fields in the Canary Islands (Spain). 25% of these samples had high or very high cyst levels.
The distribution of G.pallida is limited to Gran Canaria and Tenerife while G. rostochiensis can be found in all islands except Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
