Tilletia indica occurrence in Mexico
Tilletia indica (EPPO A1 list) was reported at the NAPPO Annual Meeting now to occur in Mexico on half a million hectares, in localized areas within Sonora state. However, its direct economic effects are not significant (<1% losses). The indirect costs to the Mexican economy (from quarantine measures applied to exports) are much more significant.
