Reinfestation of Frankliniella occidentalis in Hungary
Frankliniella occidentalis (EPPO A2 pest) has taken terrible revenge for its eradication from Hungary in 1989 (EPPO Reporting Service 507/03). In 1990 it reinfested 29 sites which cover an area of 1085 ha.
Measures have been taken up by Hungarian authorities to continue the struggle with the pest and to eradicate it from Hungary. At present no propagating sites are affected.
