Occurrence of Aphelenchoides besseyi in Korea
The rice white tip nematode Aphelenchoides besseyi (EPPO A2 List) is present in the Republic of Korea. Field trials were conducted to control the pest.
Seed disinfection of rice with diazinon, prochloraz, benomyl, fenthion and fenitrothion were more effective than a sprayed application of these pesticides in Korean paddy fields.
