First appearance of Ips grandicollis as a pest in Cuba
Ips grandicollis (EPPO A1 pest) has been found to infest Pinus caribaea var. caribaea in the Camagüey province of Cuba.
Previous surveys resulted in the capture of several species of Ips spp. in light traps near the International Airport.
An area of 1510 ha of pine forests is currently affected by the pest.
