Liriomyza sativae in Guadeloupe and Martinique
L. sativae (EPPO List A1) is noted as the only Liriomyza sp. found on tomato during a survey in Guadeloupe and Martinique in 1987. It was present on practically all tomato crops, but damaging on only 20-30 %. Up to 25 % parasitization of the leafminer was observed and growers are advised to use insecticides which are selective in relation to hymenopterous parasite.
