Phytophthora cinnamomi
This fungus is an EEC Annex IB Organism, for Ireland and the United Kingdom, and an Annex 11B Organism for Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal, but not yet considered as an EPPO quarantine pest. It is a serious pathogen of avocado, and threatens the developing avocado orchards of Spain. Resistant rootstocks are currently being tested.
