First report of Hyphantria cunea in Belarus
The NPPO of Belarus recently informed the EPPO Secretariat of the first record of Hyphantria cunea (Lepidoptera: Erebidae - formerly EPPO A2 List) on its territory. The insect was first found in June 2019 in the Gomel region (Khoiniki, Naroulia, Kalinkavichy, Brahin, Dobrush and Loyew districts). An eradication programme has been put into place.
The pest status of Hyphantria cunea in Belarus is officially declared as: Present, only in some zones, the object of eradication program.
