From NPPO (2018): during general surveillance activities, leaf spot symptoms followed by defoliation were observed in 2016/2017 in some apple orchards. No symptoms were observed on fruit. Laboratory analysis detected a complex of strains belonging to Alternaria arborescens and A. alternata and confirmed the absence of A. mali.
