Pest status declared by NPPO: Transient pest under eradication that is present only in some areas in Texas. This species is not widely distributed and is under official control in the United States (2024-04)

In January 2012, the NPPO of USA officially declared the eradication of A. ludens. However, several incursions have been reported since 2013 in California and Texas. As of September 2018, all were declared eradicated.
In October 2018, 2 specimens were found in California. In December 2018 and early 2019, several specimens were also found in Texas.
