Comments
In 1984, the pest was first found on macadamia nuts (Macadamia terniflora), the crop was destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/015) : according to the Israeli NPPO, the pest can still be found on various minor hosts (cotton, castor bean) in the area where it was first reported in 1984 on macadamia. There are no recent records from macadamia (which is no longer commercially cultivated in Israel), nor is the pest ever found on citrus.

In 2011, the NPPO confirmed that T. leucotreta has a restricted distribution in Israel.
