EPPO Reporting Service (2012/090) : discovered by scientists in July 2011 in an old damson plum tree (Prunus domestica subsp. insititia) in a private garden near Kolbermoor in the south of Bayern. The infested tree has been destroyed.
EPPO Reporting Service (2017/056) : found again in Bayern on Prunus trees. Detected in July 2016 in a private garden in Rosenheim (6 km away from the first finding site). In October 2016, another infested tree was found (1 larva) in Kolbermoor and signs of infestation were observed on several nearby Prunus trees. Eradication continues.
From NPPO (2019): No further finding in Rosenheim since 2016. Official survey is ongoing.
EPPO Reporting Service (2020/192) : in 2019, 131 plants were found infested. The two demarcated areas in Bayern were merged. Under official control.
NPPO (2021): further infestation with A. bungii was found in one location in 2020 and in 2021. The infested area has been increased accordingly. Under official control.
EPPO Reporting Service (2023/110) : official measures are ongoing.
EPPO Reporting Service (2017/056) : found again in Bayern on Prunus trees. Detected in July 2016 in a private garden in Rosenheim (6 km away from the first finding site). In October 2016, another infested tree was found (1 larva) in Kolbermoor and signs of infestation were observed on several nearby Prunus trees. Eradication continues.
