EPPO Reporting Service (2005/101) : in late 1970s, the Sheep Pen Hill disease was observed in New Jersey and later considered as being caused by a particular strain of Blueberry scorch virus. The virus was first characterized in highbush blueberries (V. corymbosum) in Washington in 1980. Outbreaks were then reported from other US states.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/088) : detected in several commercial fields in Michigan, eradication measures were taken.
