First reported in 2015 in Dehong Prefecture, but symptoms had been observed since 2008 in citrus, in particular on Eureka lemons (Citrus limon).

------- Surveys conducted from 2014 to 2016 showed that CCDaV was still limited to a few orchards in Yunnan. In these studies, CCDaV was not detected in Parabemisia myricae (previously suggested as a potential vector).
