Low levels of larval infestation observed each year in some imported citrus fruit consignments. The pest is killed by cold treatment.
EPPO Reporting Service 513/09 (1991): eradicated.
From country itself (1991): occurred in garden areas of Budapest on 2 sites (5 ha) in sex-pheromone traps and peach orchards. On the same site the new Sandoz trap (operating since 1992-05-01) has not caught any flies. No further records by 1996.
