Comments
The Australian Plant Protection Service declares that a report in Queensland in 1991 is a misidentification of B. cucumis. The pest is absent from Australia.

EPPO Reporting Service (97/177): 20th Session of APPPC, Chiang Mai (TH). Found on Torres Straits Islands in early 1997. Eradication programme immediately applied.
