Comments
Formerly present in the Ryukyu Islands: eradicated from Kume Island in 1978 and from the Miyako Islands in 1987 using the sterile insect technique.

EPPO Reporting Service (1993/116) : since then eradicated from the following islands - Tokuno (1989), Okino Erabu (1989), Yokon (1989).

Eradicated from Amami Oshima Island in 2016 (IPPC, 2016).
