From NPPO (2021): following the first detection in Cayenne (see above), surveys detected the pest in the municipalities of Cayenne, Rémire-Montjoly, Matoury and Macouria. Official control measures are being implemented, including intensive surveys, prohibition to move plants in case of any suspicious symptoms resembling those of Huanglongbing.
