EPPO Ad hoc Panel on Diabrotica, 1996-10-15/16. According to Croatian reports, Bosnian inspectors trapped a few adults along the northern frontier.
EPPO Reporting Service (1998/01) : survey was initiated in July 1997 using pheromone traps in the cantons of Tuzla-Posavina and Zenica-Doboj. D. virgifera was trapped in the region round Tuzla.
EPPO Reporting Service (1998/198) : populations increasing since 1997, especially in region along river Sava (Croatian border).
EPPO Reporting Service (2000/031) : spreading in 1999 from eastern and northern parts towards centre of country, passing from plains to more mountainous parts
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/001) : spread about 50 km in all directions since 2001
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/003) : spread to new areas was limited in 2000 (only 150 km2 compared to 1999) but population levels have greatly increased. 70% of the maize-growing area is now infested. In Republica Srpska, spread continues towards the west.
EPPO Reporting Service (2002/001) : spread 30-35 km to W and S in 2001. No damage observed.
