EPPO Reporting Service (2013/218) : it was detected in New Jersey in 1997 (then eradicated); in Illinois in 2009, 2010, and 2011; in Minnesota in 2010; in Ohio in 2009 and 2010; and in Utah in 2010. In most cases only isolated findings have been made. No damage to living trees has been observed.
Adults of T. campestris have been trapped in multiple US states since 1999, or intercepted on wood products (e.g. furniture). Populations are considered established in Illinois, Utah, and Wisconsin (Krishnankutty et al., 2020), as well as in Ohio (CERIS, 2019).
