There is a 50-year old record in Scotland but the pest is no longer found.
EPPO Reporting Service (1997/168) : 20 adults found at a paper mill in North Wales. Appropriate measures applied. This situation was considered as an interception. I. typographus is no longer present in the UK.
From country itself (2010): not found during the official surveys in 2009.
EPPO Reporting Service (2019/057) : first caught in November 2018, in a trap in a forestry site in Kent (South-eastern England). Under eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2021/146) : two other populations have been found in Kent. Under eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2024/171) : extension of the demarcated area in Kent. First found on Picea sitchensis. Under eradication.
