Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2002/003) : first found in peach orchards of Rhône valley, from Gard up to Lyon.

EPPO Reporting Service (2002/130) : details on official control.

EPPO Reporting Service (2003/130) : 2002 survey showed that the pest was found only on peach, in areas already found infested in 2001 (Gard, Vaucluse, Drôme, Ardèche).

From NPPO in 2011: a survey carried out from 2011 to 2008 has detected M. fructicola in the following regions on various fruit crops, under official control:
- Aquitaine (on peach, plum)
- Languedoc-Roussillon (on apple, apricot, cherry, peach, pear, plum)
- Midi-Pyrénées (on plum)
- Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (on apricot, cherry, peach)
- Rhône-Alpes (on apple, apricot, cherry, peach, plum)
