Found in September 1999 on Welsh onions (Allium fistulosum) in a plastic tub in the Model Vegetable Garden at RHS Wisley, Surrey. A nearby tub of garlic (A. sativum) and Chinese chives (A. tuberosum) were also lightly infested. All infested plants were destroyed and the pest is now considered eradicated (NPPO, 2005).
