The record appearing in previous versions of PQR was based on an old study (Mujica, 1953) which did not use conidial measurements to identify the pathogen. The NPPO of Chile officially stated that P. hyoscyami f.sp. tabacina has not been detected in any surveys of tobacco-producing areas in Chile.
