EPPO Reporting Service (1994/166) confirms that true flavescence dorée only occurs in the south, the form in Bourgogne being serologically distinct (bois noir, i.e. stolbur).
EPPO Reporting Service (1995/232) : Bois noir (i.e. stolbur) present in Auvergne, Bourgogne; together with flavescence dorée in Midi-Pyrénées and Rhône-Alpes. Yet another (unidentified) yellows agent in Bourgogne and Val de Loire.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/166) : present in all vine-growing areas but incidence is very low.
Chuche et al. (2017), associated with a severe decline of lavander crops in Southern France.
