Sakoda et al. (2017): intercepted in February 2015, on symptomatic rhododendrons (cv. 'ʻLoch Lomondʼ) imported from Scotland (United Kingdom).

EPPO Reporting Service (2021/049) : isolated from forests in Shikoku and Kyushun considered as native there.
