Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2008/009) : PSTVd was detected in Tyrol on symptomless ornamental Solanaceae (Solanum jasminoides, Brugmansia spp.) at 2 companies producing plants for final consumers. Investigations showed that the infested plants originated from Italy. All plants were destroyed and no other occurrence of PSTVd was found. The NPPO of Austria considered that PSTVd has been eradicated.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/177) : PSTVd was found again during an officialy survey in Vienna (on tomatoes), Oberösterreich, Niederösterreich and Steiermark (on S. jasminoides). All infected plants were destroyed and the NPPO of Austria considered that PSTVd has been eradicated.

From NPPO (2018): in 2016, PSTVd was detected in glasshouse Capsicum annuum plants in Vienna in a lot which had been imported. All plants of the infected lot were destroyed and the glasshouse was disinfected. This outbreak was declared eradicated in 2018.
