In the past, this species had been recorded as locally established on ornamentals in glasshouses. A survey conducted in 2014/2015 on Musa, Citrus and Palmae (indoors) did not result in any findings. Since its deregulation at the EU level, official surveys are no longer carried out. Sampling is sometimes required for export and localized findings are occasionally made in greenhouses, but these are always linked to the import of infested material (ornamentals).
