Ralstonia solanacearum species complex(RALSSO)
Distribution details in New Zealand
From NPPO: Present, widespread
* Hill CF (1979) New plant disease record in New Zealand. New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research 22, 641-645.
------- newly recorded tomato. Previous records of the pathogen have been confined to potatoes.
* Landcare Research database: https://nzfungi2.landcareresearch.co.nz/default.aspx?selected=NameDetails&nameId=11fddb66-3e4b-4ba5-b152-06d7ab89139e
------- New Zealand isolates were characterised by PCR diagnostic tests and identified the Ralstonia solanacerum (Biovar 2 race 3). DNA sequencing further characterised these isolates as Phylotype 2B Sequevar 1. The revised taxonomy means that the Ralstonia solanacerum species are now limited to Phylotype 2 strains, and that Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum is not present in New Zealand
