EPPO Reporting Service (2014/011) : first found in a private garden in Kleinmachnow (Brandenburg). Findings of Rhagoletis sp. in Kleinmachnow and Werder/Havel (Brandenburg) which were identified as R. completa in 2012 might in fact be misidentifications of R. suavis.
EPPO Reporting Service (2016/167) : found in August 2016 in Berlin (borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf). A single adult specimen was observed on a house wall close to Juglans regia trees.
NPPO (2022): no phytosanitary measures applied. The pest is no longer a quarantine pest (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2285 as of 11 April 2022).
