From NAPPO (2002-04-11): records in California date back to 1918, and the pest has not been found since.

From NPPO (2011-08-08): found in May 2011 in the San Ysidro area of San Diego, California.

From Hoddle et al. (2020): established throughout large areas of San Diego county.

EPPO Reporting Service (2021/166) : first recorded on Brahea edulis, Jubaea chilensis, Phoenix reclinata, and Sabal bermudana.
