Comments
One outbreak was reported for the first time in 2009 in a nursery of ornamental plants (3 cultivars of Pinus mugo) in the region of Vidusdaugava (north-east). All contaminated lots (611 plants in total) have been destroyed by incineration.

In 2017, the pathogen was found in other sites: on Pinus trees in a park and on Pinus mugo in a nursery (municipality of Daugavpils novads), on a Pinus uncinata in a private garden (municipality of Madonas novads). Phytosanitary measures were taken to eradicate the pathogen.
