EPPO Reporting Service (2004/030) : Barragan et al. (2004) - first found in 1996, but was thought to have disappeared after several years of unfavourable conditions. In 2000, conditions were favourable again, the pest was widespread and severe outbreaks occurred.

EPPO Reporting Service (2004/031) : tuber damage at harvest most affected by climate conditions at beginning of growing season. Pheromone trapping gives indications.
