EPPO Reporting Service (2014/185) : first found in August 2014 in the department of Alpes-Maritimes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region) on 4 carob trees (Ceratonia siliqua). Under eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2017/028) : surveys using traps conducted in 2015 detected the pest on 200 trees at the same location and on the island of Sainte Marguerite (also in Alpes-Maritimes). Eradication is no longer considered feasible.
EPPO Reporting Service (2019/199) : found in 2018 in Occitanie region and in Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
EPPO Reporting Service (2021/156) and EPPO Reporting Service (2021/157) : established in Southern France, locally abundant.
NPPO (2021-07): termination of phytosanitary measures. Official pest status: present.
