EPPO Reporting Service (2019/135) : during a survey conducted in June 2019, it was found on 3 Fraxinus pennsylvanica trees.

EPPO Reporting Service (2019/156) : following the appearance of the paper from Orlova-Bienkowskaja et al. (2019) on the Internet, official surveys were conducted in the same area and did not detect the pest. In addition, no insect specimens or pictures could be provided by the authors for further confirmation. This record is thus considered unreliable. Official surveys are ongoing in all regions of Ukraine, and A. planipennis has not been detected (as of July 2019).

EPPO Reporting Service (2019/202) : from the 12th to the 13th of September 2019, additional official surveys were conducted in a forest area near the village of Markivka (Luhansk region). On 2019-09-16, an infested area (5 ha) was delimited, and phytosanitary measures were implemented to eradicate A. planipennis.

EPPO Reporting Service (2020/070) : the first outbreak of A. planipennis in Luhansk region was eradicated in October 2019.
Additional monitoring surveys were conducted, and 2 small outbreaks of A. planipennis were found. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2021/216) : the demarcated area covers 620.8 ha in total and is located in the region of Luhansk (districts of Svativskiy and Starobilskiy) and in the region of Kharkiv (district of Kupiansk). The outbreaks are under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2022/187) : 60 to 90% of ash trees (Fraxinus pennsylvanica, and F. excelsior) are infested by A. planipennis in the plots surveyed in the Luhansk rand in the Kharkiv regions.

Burdulanyuk et al. (2023): As of 2022-12-31, it is present in Luhansk and Kharkiv regions on the area of 1000.10 and 177.80 hectares, respectively. There is a noticeable trend towards an increase in the area of infection in recent years.

EPPO Reporting Service (2024/007) : found in Kyiv. Quarantine measures are now applied in the districts of Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Kyiv.
