EPPO Reporting Service 501/02 of 1990: successful eradication in California, North Carolina and Virginia. Eradication programme extended to Arizona, Florida, Alabama and Georgia.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/014) : A. grandis has been eradicated in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
By 2009, the pest was declared eradicated from all US cotton-producing states, except in the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where the eradication program continues.
