The earlier record appearing on the CABI distribution map no. 004 of 1988 (based on a specimen held at the Natural History Museum in the UK and dated 1940) is now considered unrealiable. No record could be found in the Singapore diagnostic records (from 1960s to 2008) and the pest has not been found during recent surveys.
