EPPO Reporting Service (2009/061) : first found in 2005 in the north of the country on Crataegus. In 2008, 13 outbreak sites (orchards, private gardens) were under quarantine regime, eradication efforts continue.
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/083) : during the 2009 survey, only 1 sample was found positive. E. amylovora was detected in Kaunas region on old Crataegus plants in a private property.
EPPO Reporting Service (2016/109) : in 2015, 1 outbreak was found in the region of Kaunas. Under eradication.
EPPO Reporting Service (2017/092) : no new outbreak found in 2016. Eradication continues.
From NPPO (2018): in 2017, found in 2 sites. In 2018, outbreaks were found in Baltosios Vokės (apple trees in a private garden), in Pakuonio (pear trees in an orchard). Under eradication.
From NPPO (2019): in 2018, 5 outbreaks (in 4 sites, in Telšiai and Kaunas counties) were found on Malus domestica, Pyrus communis and Crataegus monogyna. All infected trees (and potential hosts within 10-20 m radius) were uprooted and burnt. Under eradication.
