Pest status declared by NPPO: Present, only in some parts of the Member State concerned, under eradication (2019-02)
Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2018/103) : the first incursion was observed in 2005 but was subsequently eradicated. New outbreaks were reported in 2010/2011 in apple orchards in Centro and Alentejo regions. In 2017, several outbreaks were reported. In all cases, all infected plants have been destroyed.

From NPPO (2018): several outbreaks detected in previous years were successfully eradicated in 2018
[2011 outbreak of Viseu (Sao José) - 2013 outbreak of Sernancelhe - 2014 outbreak of Seia - 2015 outbreaks of Povoa de Rio de Moinhos, Serta, Trancozelos, Orjais, Vila Nova de Paiva]. However, new outbreaks were detected in 2018 in Tondela (apple orchard) and Cilada (2 pear trees along a road). Eradication continues.

From NPPO (2019): several outbreaks detected in previous years were successfully eradicated in 2019 [2015 outbreaks in Macedo De Cavaleiros and Roliça - 2016 outbreak in Batalha]
