EPPO Reporting Service (2001/016) : although L. huidobrensis was at one time said to have died out in Hawaii, populations are being sampled in the late 1990s.

The NPPO officially stated that research has indicated that the pest previously believed to be L. huidobrensis in the United States is actually L. langei (NAPPO, 2009).
