EPPO Reporting Service (2014/007) : first found during summer 2009 on tomato and cucumber greenhouse crops in the province of Samsun.
EPPO Reporting Service (2017/216) : recent studies have shown that populations from Turkey were not M. ethiopica but M. luci.
EPPO Reporting Service (2024/131) : in 2022, found in kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) in the following provinces: Bursa and Yalova (Marmara region), and Rize (Black Sea region).
