Distribution details in United States of America
From CABI Disease map 111 (2009): Present, restricted distribution
From NPPO: Present, restricted distribution
According to Jeffries (1998), the virus has not been reported from potatoes in most parts of the USA for more than 50 years. Historical presence of this virus in potato in USA (Florida, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia and Wyoming) is recorded in Barrus & Chupp (1922), Goss &Peltier (1925), Muncie (1935), Black (1937), Holmes (1939), Walker &Larson (1939) and Anon. (1960).
The current distribution of PYDV in these US states is uncertain.
