Notes

Native to Western and northern Europe. The name relates functionally and collectively to the broad complex of fertile or clonal microspecies which have been distinguished in Europe. Selected clones are cultivated as a berry crop and have been introduced for this purpose in other temperate countries. Readily naturalized.
