Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria (no longer in use)(XANTAV)
Overview Code created in: 2001-02-02
- EPPO Code: XANTAV
- Preferred name: Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria (no longer in use)
- Authority: (Doidge) Vauterin, Hoste, Kersters & Swings
This name is no longer valid. In 2015, EPPO deleted Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria from the A2 list, as taxonomic studies showed that it was in fact different species: Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. perforans, Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. euvesicatoria, X. hortorum pv. gardneri and X. vesicatoria.
However, it is not clear for all countries which species is responsible for bacterial blight of tomato and pepper. The information is maintained in the map for the time being, and maps for individual species are also available.
