Comments
According to EFSA (2014), occasionally reported in the 1930s and in later decades. Only since the late 1970s have a number of severe outbreaks been reported on plum and peach in the north-east of the country (Emilia Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions), where it is now considered endemic. Later, a few occurrences have been reported in central and southern Italian regions.

EPPO Reporting Service (1999/047) : has caused severe outbreaks in the Po valley and northeastern areas, but also occurs elsewhere.

EPPO Reporting Service (1999/095) : occurs in Abruzzi, spreading in Lazio, limited infection in Veneto.

EPPO Reporting Service (2002/071) : also in Basilicata.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/032) : detected in Toscana region on Prunus laurocerasus in a nursery.
