EPPO Reporting Service (2004/120) : widespread decline of trees grafted on sour orange was detected after introduction of the vector aphid Toxoptera citricida. This suggests that severe strains were already present.
A study by Fisher et al. (2010) confirmed that severe strains are located across the island.
