EPPO Reporting Service (2002/011) and EPPO Reporting Service (2002/096) : first found in 2001 near Hyères (Var). Under official control in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region.
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/157) : also in Languedoc-Roussillon.
EPPO Reporting Service (2013/041) : also in Aquitaine (Gironde, in 1 Trachycarpus fortunei in a private garden).
Leraut & Martin (2016) considered present in Alpes-Maritimes, Aude, Gard, Hérault, Var and Vaucluse, and it has also spread into in Aquitaine, Bretagne, Midi Pyrénées, Pays de la Loire.
From NPPO (2019): found in Basse-Normandie (Calvados) in a garden center in 1 Chamaerops humilis in January 2019. The plant had been bought in April 2015. The plant was destroyed and the outbreak is considered eradicated.
