Comments
It has been reported from several Italian regions: Apulia, Abruzzi, Basilicata, Campania, Emilia-Romania, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche, Molise, Piemonte, Sardinia, Sicilia, Trentino-Alto Adige, Toscana, Umbria, Veneto.

EPPO Reporting Service (2004/162) : first reported in Campania in 2002, then in Marche, where serious losses are occurring in palm nurseries

EPPO Reporting Service (2005/051) : found in Pistoia province (Toscana) and in Sicilia

EPPO Reporting Service (2006/105) : found in Puglia region in 2004, but only in palm nurseries. In 2006, found in old palm trees near Bari.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/137) : found in Liguria region on one palm tree which was destroyed, under official control.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/109) : found in Veneto region on several plants of Trachycarpus fortunei, all infested plants have been destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/054) : found in Friuli-Venezia Giulia on several plants of Trachycarpus fortunei and Chamaerops humilis, all infested plants have been destroyed. No further findings.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/098) : found in Lazio in a garden centre on Chamaerops sp.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/146) : found again in Liguria in a garden of a military area (on Chamaerops and Trachycarpus). All infested trees were destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/207) : found in Lazio and Lombardia. Infested trees were destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/150) : found in Lazio and Basilicata, infested palm trees were destroyed.

Mori et al. (2023): present in 18 out of 20 Italian regions.
